Mahavir Jayanti celebrates the birth the religious hero Mahavir. He was the last Tirthankara in Jainism. He was the son of King Siddhartha and Queen Trishala. When Mahavir was about to be born the astrologers predicted that either he would become an ramana or a Tirthankar. He is also known as Vardhamana, Shramana. He was born in Kundalagrama near Vaishali which is in Bihar.
Mahavir taught the world the necessity of right faith which includes Nonviolence, truthfulness, non-stealing, chastity and non-possession or non attachment.
Maha means super and veer mean a hero. He was a hero who had the control on his mind. Not everybody in this world can achieve this state. He used the meditation techniques available at that stage of time to conqueror his mind.
We can also remember this super hero by sending e-card to our loved ones at www.desievite.com or if we are organising any spiritual function anywhere we can invite the pupils by sending them invitation at www.desievite.com
