Halloween: Time of celebration and superstition

Halloween is a time of celebration and superstition. It is a yearly holiday observed around the globe on October 31. The date was chosen because it was thought that it was believed that the ghosts of the dead returned to earth on this particular day. It is believed that it has roots associated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain. Christian attitudes towards Halloween are diverse. They pray, fast and attend worship services at the time of Halloween. In addition to that Halloween is a time of fun. It includes a large set of child friendly activities which consists trick-or-treating, attending costume parties, carving pumpkins into jack-o'-lanterns, lighting bonfires, apple bobbing, visiting haunted attractions, playing pranks, telling scary stories, and watching horror films.
